Millions of illegal immigrants are streaming into our country, engaging in a cultural war that is rolling across America, where the ‘Sanctuary Cities’ are transforming into colonies of radicals and criminals. But this is OUR country and immigrants are to adapt to America’s culture, not the other way around. American culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials, and sacrifices by millions of men and women who have sought and fought for freedom. What is to be our message to those who cross our borders?
The opportunity and privilege in ‘Coming to America’ means doing the right things in the right way…obey our laws and engage our culture.
When you come to America recognize our holidays. We celebrate Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day and many other traditions. I am sick tired of too many politicians worrying about whether we are offending you or your distinctive culture by not providing new additional paid holidays for your unique cultural festivals. And I am particularly incensed by those radical demands that America must now celebrate all of your religious holidays or we must immediately stop celebrating Christmas!
Furthermore, as a country, we basically speak English here, not Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or another country’s language. Therefore, as a new immigrant, to become a committed part of our society, you must learn our language…we should NOT be held hostage, with our taxes, to teach YOUR language in OUR schools.
Most Americans believe in God. It is clearly documented fact that this nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. Our Declaration of Independence clearly proclaims, ‘We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness’. Even our National Motto states, ‘In God We Trust’…its on our currency and engraved on state and federal government buildings across America. If ‘God’ offends you, then I suggest you consider your responsibility to learn to cope with being offended as God is a significant part of our culture.
This is OUR country, OUR land, OUR traditions, OUR heritage, and OUR ‘rule of law’, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But if you continue to complain, whine, and gripe, or assault, attack, or do violence to Our Flag, Our Beliefs, and Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American Freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE’.
