I hope that Our Vision for America is an encouragement to you. And if we are to restore our country, we all must get “back to basics.” Just like the prophet of old, Jeremiah stated,
“Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.”
The problem is, that back in that day, they did not get back to basics and Jeremiah continues:
“But you said, ‘We will not walk in it…Therefore hear, you nations;..Observe what will happen to them…I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their schemes, because they have not listened to my words and have rejected my laws.”
To get America “back on track” to restore the American Dream, the first step starts with each of us putting into action our national motto, “In God We Trust.”
If we fall short, if we continue on the same path we’re now on, then as it says in the good book in 2nd Chronicles:
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain (no food), or command locusts to devour the land (economic depression) or send a plague among my people (disease), if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
As a first step of personal restoration, a “call for action”, I’d like to offer you a resource—a copy of my small pocketbook, Battlefield Verses. While this was originally written to encourage our men and women in the military, I’ve recognized that all of us are in the battlefields of life, with challenges, disasters, pain and suffering—we ALL need encouragement, with a focus on Divine Providence.
We all know that if our military is discouraged, and even if physically ill—they can’t be the fighting force we need to defend Our Vision of America. Likewise, each of us must be revived—and it begins with a spiritual solution.
You see, there is a promise, a future, a hope for all of us. Again, as the prophet Jeremiah proclaimed:
“This is what the Lord says: …“I will come to you and fulfill my good promise…For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
With God’s help we can restore our Republic with a renewed faith and trust in God, and together we can press on, forward, to a better tomorrow.
